There is a flat area in front of the cave, which is called Mingtang. The large Mingtang, like Taipei City, can accommodate millions of people and serve as the national capital; A small Mingtang can be used for fields, ponds, etc. The ancients had several taboos against Mingtang;

1、 Broken Mingtang: refers to the disorderly or missing corners of the stones in the Mingtang, with a convex shape in the west and an uncertain height, which is the case. Residential businesses also have open spaces, which are adjacent to the road. Nowadays, when the subway is being built, it damages the open spaces, fills the gaps in the west, and piles up debris, which is considered artificial damage to the open spaces and will inevitably affect their feng shui. It is necessary to rebuild a clean and flat open space (road) once it is completed and demolished in order to restore vitality.

2、 Sinking Mingtang: Its shape is like a concave hole, standing in front of the Mingtang. It is also unlucky for the owner, and there is often a risk of the family’s poor children and grandchildren scattering. 3、 Duo Dao Ming Tang: In the Ming Tang, the small paths extend continuously and there are many, which is also considered fierce. The main house is restless, and bandits thrive. The above is my brief introduction to some taboos. Then, let me introduce a good Mingtang. You only need to be able to distinguish between good Mingtang and bad Mingtang.

1、 Shuiju Tianxin: In the center of Mingtang is a water lake with a small island, which is called Shuiju Tianxin. It is like Guanghua Island in the Sun and Moon Tan, and is a land of great fortune.

2、 Tianyuan Mingtang: The rice fields are on the Mingtang, lush and tempting, with abundant fruits, making it a great auspicious hall.

3、 Jiuqu Mingtang: The auspicious saying goes, “When Jiuqu enters the Mingtang, an emperor will emerge.”. Because the Mingtang is spacious, the river enters and forms more than nine curved paths, making it a land of great wealth and prosperity. On the contrary, if water enters or exits the Mingtang, its shape is like a straight shot. If it goes straight in and out, it will be a dangerous place. It will not gather wealth, but instead destroy and scatter the ancestral heritage. Jufan Mingtang is flat and spacious, all of which belong to good and beautiful places. The Mingtang is located in the courtyard of a family, where people gather for daily gatherings. Therefore, the good or bad fortune of the Mingtang is related to the rise and fall of a family.
